Call for Postdoctoral Candidates to apply Marie Curie for Targeted Nanotherapeutics Research Group

Topics of interest:
(a) Synthesis and characterization of biodegradable encapsulating particulates for delivery of proteins.
(b) Coupling of targeting ligands for recognition of cell receptors involved in signaling and/or transport mechanisms.
(c) Recombinant or synthetic therapeutics, oligomeric targeting moieties, and/or protein nanoassemblies.
(d) In vitro models which recapitulate main in vivo phenomena, for the study of relevant drug delivery parameters.
(e) Biological interaction, transport, and effects of drug carriers in cell cultures.
(f) PK/PD and preclinical research using animal models.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
-To design and conduct research regarding one or (preferably) several of the topics described above.
-To engage in collaborations, recording and reporting, and publications/scientific communications derived from the work.
-To contribute to lab supporting tasks, e.g. ordering of reagents, maintenance of equipment, and training of new lab members.

Requirements for candidates:
-PhD on any scientific discipline related to the topics described above.
-A solid track record of scholarly research with demonstrated experience in the described topics.
-Analytical and critical thinking, ambitious, high ethics and integrity; must work well both within a team and independently.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills, including English.

General Requirements for all Candidates:
-Transnational Mobility Requirement: researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline (12/09/2018).

Application and Selection criteria process:
After receiving all the applications, IBEC will create a selection committee to evaluate them and determine the successful candidates, solely on the basis of eligibility and scientific potential. The selected candidates will then have to apply to the corresponding call, depending on their adequacy to each call’s requirements. Please keep in mind that these are competitive calls that require certain paperwork to be done by the candidate. IBEC will provide administrative support to the selected candidates, but the final resolution for each call will only depend on on the evaluation carried out by the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (EU).
