Great success of Prof. Julie MacPherson’s short course

The short course has been jointly organized by the Master on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the University of Barcelona and the Nanoscale bioelectrical characterization  group from the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia. More than 45 atendants have followed the course during the three days in which the basis of scanning electrochemical microsocpy and scanning ion conductance microscopy have been presented, with special emphasis on their applications to biological systems. Prof. Julie Macpherson is Professor of Chemistry in the Chemistry Department at the University of Warwick (UK). She jointly leads the Electrochemistry and Interfaces Group where she develops research on nanoscale electrodes for analytical and biosensing applications, integration of electrochemical and electrical capabilities into atomic force microscopy and transport measurements in nanopore systems. She received several prizes and awards for her research and teaching activities.
