It emphasizes the importance of knowledge dissemination, accessibility, and reusability of research outputs. Internally, openness ensures the consistency and consequence of our own decisions, identifying a frame of reference that enables understanding. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
\n- Code of Conduct for Research Integrity<\/strong><\/a>, among others, it sets criteria on: Publications and scientific Communications <\/strong>(Obligation to scientific communication, Open access) and <\/em>Data management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
\n- Research data management policy<\/strong>:<\/a> General framework for the management of the research data produced by IBEC. The policy intends to reaffirm the institution\u2019s commitment with open science, specifically in making its research data as open as possible and as closed as necessary, following FAIR principles to make it findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable for the whole community. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
<\/ul>\n\n- Charter and Code (human resources strategy)<\/strong><\/a>: In April 2015 IBEC was awarded the \u201cHR Excellence in Research\u201d award from the European Commission. The Action Plan 2021-2024 of The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)<\/em><\/a> <\/em>includes the action Ethics: Open Science<\/em>.
- IBEC Action Plan on<\/strong> Reforming Research Assessment<\/strong> 2023-2027. CoARA Agreement<\/strong><\/a>: IBEC signed on April 2023 the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment and became member of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). The signature of this agreement is aligned with the values of the institution by recognizing the diversity of the contributions to research, relying on qualitative evaluation for research quality assessment. This signature is also in line with the involvement of IBEC in Open Science. Its main responsibilities are: <\/p>\n\n\n- To promote and safeguard good research practice at IBEC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- To promote awareness and training for researchers at all career stages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- To monitor compliance with the Code and update it regularly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- To deal with allegations of research misconduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- To follow up the Open Science strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
\n\nCommission for Open Science<\/strong><\/h4>\n\nThe Commission is responsible for supporting and establishing an Open Science culture and strategy at IBEC, advising the board on best orientation and institutional practice on Open Science to achieve its goals and the funders requirements. It has the following functions: <\/p>\n\n
\n- Policy and strategy: Development of an Open Science policy and recommendations for establishing open science as the default research at IBEC.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n
