{"id":105929,"date":"2023-03-16T12:07:04","date_gmt":"2023-03-16T11:07:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/services\/bioimaging-2\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T16:11:45","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T15:11:45","slug":"bioimaging","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/ca\/services\/bioimaging\/","title":{"rendered":"BioImaging"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The IBEC BioImaging Facility is a singular technological scientific infrastructure that provides imaging tools for <em>in-vivo<\/em>, <em>ex-vivo<\/em> and <em>in-vitro<\/em> study of different experimental models, obtaining information at the molecular, cellular or tissue level, of a physiological, anatomical or combined nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Facility is open to the entire scientific community, with the aim of serving projects in fields of chemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, neuroscience, microbiology, virology, and phototherapies, in addition to supporting R&amp;D for in-vivo experimentation for biomodels and animal models, for the study of new drugs and nanodrugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Facility provides researchers with unique scientific-technical equipment, as well as unique techniques:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Multi-mode in vivo imaging system with ultra-high frequency and photoacoustic capabilities to obtain images combining ultrasound with photoacoustics<\/strong> (cofunded by the&nbsp;Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades with funds from the European Union NextGenerationEU, Plan de Recuperaci\u00f3n, Transformaci\u00f3n y Resiliencia (PRTR-C17.I1) and the Generalitat de Catalunya).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"56\" data-src=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2c1ffc37-dd56-415e-8b0a-0322f535e285-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-130646 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 800px;
