Des d&#8217;aleshores, cada any se celebra aquesta data com el Dia Mundial de l&#8217;Embri\u00f2leg, i segons estima <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmartivf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">l&#8217;ICMART<\/a> (Comit\u00e8 Internacional de Seguiment de les Tecnologies de Reproducci\u00f3 Assistida), fins a l&#8217;any 2018, m\u00e9s de 8 milions de nadons a tot el m\u00f3n han vingut al m\u00f3n gr\u00e0cies a la FIV. \u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Al llarg de la seva hist\u00f2ria, el laboratori de Fertilitzaci\u00f3 In Vitro (FIV) ha experimentat una profunda transformaci\u00f3. Amb m\u00e9s de quatre d\u00e8cades d&#8217;aven\u00e7os, les noves tecnologies introdu\u00efdes en el camp de la FIV han superat totes les expectatives, assolint fites abans inimaginables. Entre aquests aven\u00e7os destaquen la criopreservaci\u00f3 d&#8217;ovocits i embrions, la introducci\u00f3 de la injecci\u00f3 intracitoplasm\u00e0tica d&#8217;espermatozoides (ICSI) i els trasplantaments uterins. Aquests impressionants progressos han obert noves possibilitats en el tractament de la infertilitat i han brindat esperan\u00e7a a moltes parelles que volen formar una fam\u00edlia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgrat tots aquests aven\u00e7os, la taxa mitjana d&#8217;\u00e8xit d&#8217;un tractament de FIV, \u00e9s a dir, el nombre d&#8217;embrions transferits inicialment que condueixen a un naixement viu, continua sent relativament baixa (30%), i els cicles repetits de FIV sense \u00e8xit impliquen una c\u00e0rrega emocional, f\u00edsica i financera significativa per a les dones i les parelles.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La selecci\u00f3 d&#8217;embrions \u00e9s un dels passos m\u00e9s desafiants en el proc\u00e9s de FIV i, tot i que en l&#8217;actualitat s&#8217;utilitzen diversos m\u00e8todes per identificar l&#8217;embri\u00f3 amb el major potencial d&#8217;implantaci\u00f3; cap dels enfocaments actuals ha aconseguit millorar de manera significativa les taxes d&#8217; embar\u00e0s en la poblaci\u00f3 general de parelles amb problemes de fertilitat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per superar aquest coll d&#8217;ampolla, el projecte <a href=\"https:\/\/hylightproject.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HYLIGHT<\/a> est\u00e0 desenvolupant una tecnologia robusta i f\u00e0cil d&#8217;usar per seleccionar, de forma no invasiva, els embrions que s\u00f3n m\u00e9s competents per a la implantaci\u00f3, augmentant la taxa d&#8217;\u00e8xit i reduint l&#8217;anomenat &#8220;temps fins a l&#8217;embar\u00e0s&#8221;. Aquest innovador dispositiu de diagn\u00f2stic combina l&#8217;an\u00e0lisi hiperespectral amb la intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial, i permet la classificaci\u00f3 d&#8217;embrions en funci\u00f3 dels seus perfils metab\u00f2lics, aprofitant l&#8217;autofluoresc\u00e8ncia natural de compostos cel\u00b7lulars clau.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amb el prop\u00f2sit de superar aquest coll d&#8217;ampolla, el projecte HYLIGHT est\u00e0 desenvolupant una tecnologia robusta i f\u00e0cil d&#8217;usar per seleccionar, de manera no invasiva, els embrions que posseeixen m\u00e9s compet\u00e8ncia per a la implantaci\u00f3. Gr\u00e0cies a aquest avan\u00e7, s&#8217;espera augmentar la taxa d&#8217;\u00e8xit i reduir l&#8217;anomenat &#8220;temps fins a l&#8217;embar\u00e0s&#8221; en tractaments de FIV.
