The project is supported by the INSTITUTO DE SALUD CARLOS III.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected person will contribute to the daily operation and technical development of the National Platform of Biomodels and Biobanks, providing IT and data support and collaborating with the coordination team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The extent of duties include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Provide technical and IT support for the activities and services of the National Platform of Biomodels and Biobanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the Platform\u2019s management application (Symfony\/PHP and MySQL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Support the integration and evolution of the Platform\u2019s BackOffice, including its data workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Contribute to the upload, validation, and review of data in the biobank and biomodel catalogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Collaborate with external providers on data harmonization and transformation processes (e.g., OMOP Common Data Model, semantic mapping, validation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Support the technical management of the BBMRI-ERIC Directory and federated data systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Support in updating and maintaining the Platform\u2019s official website, as well as the website for the ISCIII Platforms Annual Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Provide technical and organizational support to the coordination team (datasets, documentation, meetings, collaborative tasks).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Ensure data quality and interoperability according to international standards (OMOP, HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Participate in the technical design of new functionalities and system improvements in collaboration with the development team and scientific coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements for candidates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Degree (Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience (or strong interest) in biomedical data management, databases, or bioinformatics projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (Python, R, PHP) and relational databases (MySQL or similar).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge or interest in web technologies and data integration environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in data curation, loading, and reviewing of biomedical databases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full command in English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competencies: communication, team working, proactivity and reactivity, and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional valued skills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience in projects related to biobanks, biomedical research data, or research infrastructures (e.g., BBMRI-ERIC, ELIXIR, EOSC).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of data harmonization models (OMOP CDM, HL7 FHIR) and data visualization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in technical documentation, coordination support, or management of collaborative digital tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Number of available positions: 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starting date: 01\/01\/2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working conditions:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full-time, fixed-term contract.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measures to reconcile work and family life (maternity and paternity leave, flexible schedule working hours, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
