Es tracta d&#8217;un prestigi\u00f3s finan\u00e7ament que concedeix el Consell Europeu de Recerca per explorar el potencial comercial i social de projectes de recerca duts a terme en institucions europees. Es tracta d&#8217;una prestigiosa subvenci\u00f3 que concedeix el Consell Europeu de Recerca (ERC, per les seves sigles en angl\u00e8s) i t\u00e9 com a objectiu explorar el potencial comercial i social de projectes de recerca que estan o han estat finan\u00e7ats pr\u00e8viament per l&#8217;ERC. Els i les sol\u00b7licitants utilitzen aquest tipus de finan\u00e7ament per verificar la viabilitat de conceptes cient\u00edfics, explorar oportunitats de negoci o preparar sol\u00b7licituds de patents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AMALIA: Una plataforma escalable per accelerar el descobriment de mol\u00e8cules petites antiamiloides<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El projecte <strong>AMALIA<\/strong>, liderat per <strong>Benedetta Bolognesi<\/strong>, aborda un dels reptes biom\u00e8dics m\u00e9s grans actuals: el desenvolupament de tractaments efectius contra malalties com l&#8217;Alzheimer o el Parkinson, impulsades per la formaci\u00f3 d&#8217;agregats proteics coneguts com a amiloides. Malgrat d\u00e8cades d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3, els primers esdeveniments que desencadenen aquest proc\u00e9s d&#8217;agregaci\u00f3 continuen sent extremadament dif\u00edcils d&#8217;estudiar, i actualment no existeixen assajos escalables capa\u00e7os d&#8217;avaluar la nucleaci\u00f3 amiloide de forma sistem\u00e0tica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AMALIA proposa una <strong>plataforma de cribratge dual, massivament escalable<\/strong>, que combina dos assajos complementaris: <strong>el primer<\/strong>, orientat a identificar mol\u00e8cules capaces d&#8217;estabilitzar l&#8217;estructura nativa de prote\u00efnes globulars per evitar la seva agregaci\u00f3, i <strong>el segon<\/strong>, dissenyat per detectar inhibidors de la nucleaci\u00f3 amiloide tant en prote\u00efnes plegades com en prote\u00efnes intr\u00ednsecament desordenades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/es\/benedetta-bolognesi-galardonada-con-una-prestigiosa-beca-europea-erc-consolidator-grant\"><\/a>&nbsp;Com a part d&#8217;aquesta prova de concepte, basada en el projecte Glam-MAP, l&#8217;equip miniaturitzar\u00e0 i automatitzar\u00e0 aquests assajos per impulsar la seva optimitzaci\u00f3 i dur a terme un cribratge pilot multidiana, demostrant la seva capacitat per operar en paral\u00b7lel sobre diferents objectius amiloides. M\u00e9s enll\u00e0 d&#8217;un \u00fanic projecte o una sola diana, AMALIA es concep com una tecnologia de plataforma: una eina que elimina la necessitat d&#8217;utilitzar prote\u00efnes purificades i permet dur a terme campanyes de descobriment en paral\u00b7lel sobre m\u00faltiples dianes amiloides, un enfocament amb una velocitat i escalabilitat sense precedents. AMALIA aspira a transformar la recerca de ter\u00e0pies antiamiloides i a contribuir a reduir l&#8217;enorme impacte sanitari i econ\u00f2mic d&#8217;aquestes malalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEstic encantada que, amb AMALIA, estiguem aportant la velocitat i l&#8217;escalabilitat de les tecnologies de plataforma al descobriment de f\u00e0rmacs antiamiloides, creant una l\u00ednia de productes dissenyada no sols per a oferir un \u00fanic f\u00e0rmac, sin\u00f3 per a permetre m\u00faltiples programes terap\u00e8utics en paral\u00b7lel\u00bb, afirma Bolognesi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CAMP: una plataforma de resson\u00e0ncia magn\u00e8tica per a an\u00e0lisi metab\u00f2lica d&#8217;alta sensibilitat aplicada a malalties rares<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El projecte <strong>CAMP<\/strong>, liderat per <strong>Irene Marco-Rius<\/strong>, busca portar al mercat una tecnologia que combina microflu\u00eddica i resson\u00e0ncia magn\u00e8tica hiperpolaritzada. Aquest desenvolupament es basa en la tecnologia generada en el <a href=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/es\/la-investigadora-irene-marco-rius-galardonada-con-una-prestigiosa-beca-europea-erc-starting-grant\">projecte LIFETIME<\/a>, centrat en models de c\u00e0ncer hep\u00e0tic pedi\u00e0tric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAMP permetr\u00e0 l&#8217;an\u00e0lisi simult\u00e0nia de fins a <strong>30 mostres <\/strong>mitjan\u00e7ant la integraci\u00f3 de xips microflu\u00eddics amb tecnologia de resson\u00e0ncia <strong>magn\u00e8tica<\/strong>, que incrementa notablement la sensibilitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquesta combinaci\u00f3 reduir\u00e0 m\u00e9s del 50% la quantitat de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules necess\u00e0ria per mostra, una cosa especialment rellevant en malalties rares com l&#8217;hepatoblastoma, on el material disponible \u00e9s molt limitat. L&#8217;equip validar\u00e0 el sistema tant en entorns precl\u00ednics com cl\u00ednics i definir\u00e0 una estrat\u00e8gia s\u00f2lida de propietat intel\u00b7lectual i comercialitzaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La plataforma podria proporcionar an\u00e0lisis metab\u00f2liques m\u00e9s profundes, precises i reprodu\u00efbles facilitant aven\u00e7os significatius cap a una medicina personalitzada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00abAugmentar el rendiment \u00e9s clau per a portar la resson\u00e0ncia magn\u00e8tica hiperpolaritzada m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 dels laboratoris especialitzats; CAMP ho far\u00e0 possible\u00bb,<\/em> explica Marco-Rius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>NeuroBRIDGE: una tecnologia per estudiar el cervell durant comportaments naturals<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El projecte <strong>NeuroBRIDGE<\/strong>, liderat per <strong>Nicol\u00f2 Accanto<\/strong>, t\u00e9 com a objectiu transformar la microsc\u00f2pia de dos fotons, una t\u00e8cnica essencial en neuroci\u00e8ncia per visualitzar i manipular l&#8217;activitat neuronal <em>in vivo <\/em>amb resoluci\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular. Actualment, la majoria dels microscopis de dos fotons no permeten estudiar els circuits neuronals en tasques de conducta natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per superar aquesta barrera, Accanto i els seus col\u00b7laboradors han desenvolupat un <strong>microscopi miniaturitzat basat en fibres \u00f2ptiques<\/strong> que permet realitzar estudis d&#8217;alta resoluci\u00f3 en condicions de lliure moviment. Amb NeuroBRIDGE, l&#8217;equip Fot\u00f2nica No Lineal per a Neuroci\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;IBEC busca <strong>convertir aquesta innovaci\u00f3 en un producte accessible<\/strong> i \u00e0mpliament compatible amb m\u00faltiples plataformes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els objectius del projecte inclouen: <strong>Dissenyar m\u00f2duls compatibles<\/strong> amb una \u00e0mplia varietat de microscopis comercials, validar la seva adaptabilitat en diferents laboratoris i infraestructures i <strong>demostrar la seva utilitat<\/strong> mitjan\u00e7ant experiments en paradigmes de comportament natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquesta tecnologia permetr\u00e0 transformar microscopis existents en plataformes per a estudis en moviment lliure, ampliant enormement el ventall d&#8217;experiments possibles i obrint <strong>noves oportunitats per comprendre el cervell i els trastorns neurol\u00f2gics.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00abAvan\u00e7ar en la nostra comprensi\u00f3 del cervell no consisteix nom\u00e9s a crear tecnologies potents, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 a fer-les accessibles.
