Aix\u00ed, inhibint el creixement del par\u00e0sit, es podria promoure la resposta immune contra el mateix\u201d, ha explicat el Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez-Busquets aquest mat\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A m\u00e9s, el grup del Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez Busquets va descobrir que l&#8217;heparina mostra afinitat d&#8217;uni\u00f3 espec\u00edfica per als gl\u00f2buls vermells infectats enfront dels gl\u00f2buls no infectats. \u201cAix\u00f2 podria permetre el desenvolupament de ter\u00e0pies antimal\u00e1ricas espec\u00edfiques per a les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules infectades, basades tamb\u00e9 en l&#8217;heparina\u201d afegeix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fins ara, l&#8217;heparina no havia progressat cap a aquest tipus d&#8217;aplicacions cl\u00edniques perqu\u00e8 presenta una forta activitat anticoagulant i les quantitats necess\u00e0ries per al tractament contra la mal\u00e0ria podria provocar hemorr\u00e0gies internes. Per solucionar aquest problema s&#8217;investiga per tres vies diferents:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">D&#8217;una banda s&#8217;ha vist que la uni\u00f3 de nanopart\u00edcules a l&#8217;heparina minimitza la seva activitat anticoagulant. Ara s&#8217;est\u00e0 explorant la capacitat de l&#8217;heparina unida a nanopart\u00edcules per exercir una doble activitat: com a agent transportador d&#8217;altres antimal\u00e0rics (que estarien inclosos en les nanopart\u00edcules) i com a f\u00e0rmac en si mateix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">En segon lloc s&#8217;estudia l&#8217;\u00fas de l&#8217;heparina com a f\u00e0rmac contra les fases del par\u00e0sit de la mal\u00e0ria que es troben en els mosquits; l&#8217;administraci\u00f3 directa a aquests insectes eliminaria els problemes relacionats amb la anticoagulaci\u00f3 i permetria un desenvolupament r\u00e0pid del compost.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Finalment, s&#8217;estan testant in vitro 19 compostos derivats d&#8217;heparina modificats qu\u00edmicament i amb una baixa capacitat anticoagulant, que podrien obrir noves estrat\u00e8gies contra la mal\u00e0ria basades en l&#8217;estimulaci\u00f3 del sistema immunitari perqu\u00e8 pugui eliminar m\u00e9s eficientment al patogen. D&#8217;aquests, 8 han mostrat una activitat antimal\u00e0rica significativa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cHem finalitzat una primera fase molt interessant.
