
{"id":4976,"date":"2008-03-31T16:47:23","date_gmt":"2008-03-31T16:47:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/new\/una-nova-tecnica-optica-permetra-observar-lactivitat-celmlular-en-temps-real-a-escala-nanometrica\/"},"modified":"2015-01-15T17:28:44","modified_gmt":"2015-01-15T17:28:44","slug":"una-nova-tecnica-optica-permetra-observar-lactivitat-celmlular-en-temps-real-a-escala-nanometrica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/ca\/una-nova-tecnica-optica-permetra-observar-lactivitat-celmlular-en-temps-real-a-escala-nanometrica\/","title":{"rendered":"Una nova t\u00e8cnica \u00f2ptica permetr\u00e0 observar l\u2019activitat cel\u00b7lular en temps real a escala nanom\u00e8trica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aix\u00ed ho explica la investigadora Mar\u00eda Garc\u00eda-Parajo, l\u00edder del <a href=\"..\/index.php?option=com_recerca&amp;Itemid=1002&amp;task=linia&amp;ansubdepartments_id=12&amp;dept_id=2\" target=\"_blank\">Laboratori de Bionanofot\u00f2nica<\/a> de l&#8217;Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (<a href=\"..\/\/\" target=\"_blank\">IBEC<\/a>), a l&#8217;article &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nphoton\/journal\/v2\/n4\/full\/nphoton.2008.37.html\" target=\"_blank\">Optical antennas focus in on biology<\/a>&#8221; que es publicar\u00e0 dem\u00e0, 1 d&#8217;abril, a l&#8217;edici\u00f3 on line de la revista <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nphoton\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Nature Photonics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;article comenta les implicacions que aquests nous desenvolupaments podrien tenir en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de la biologia, una l\u00ednia de recerca en qu\u00e8 est\u00e0 treballant el grup de Garc\u00eda-Parajo, i que podria revolucionar la investigaci\u00f3 en biomedicina degut a les seves m\u00faltiples aplicacions. &#8220;El nostre objectiu \u00e9s dissenyar i implementar sistemes que permetin estudiar la din\u00e0mica i organitzaci\u00f3 de les mol\u00e8cules a nivell individual i a escala nanom\u00e8trica en el seu entorn natural, aix\u00ed com manipular les seves funcions biol\u00f2giques. Per tant, una part\u00a0 important dels nostres esfor\u00e7os es concentren en el desenvolupament de la microsc\u00f2pia \u00f2ptica&#8221;, explica Garc\u00eda-Parajo, &#8220;aix\u00f2 permetr\u00e0 millorar la comprensi\u00f3 sobre processos biol\u00f2gics que determinen la major part de les funcions i la din\u00e0mica\u00a0 cel\u00b7lular, i que s\u00f3n clau\u00a0 per avan\u00e7ar en el desenvolupament de noves estrat\u00e8gies en la lluita contra el c\u00e0ncer o per combatre el virus de la SIDA i altres malalties d&#8217;origen infecci\u00f3s&#8221;, conclou.<\/p>\n<p>Les nanoantenes s\u00f3n un tipus d&#8217;eines \u00f2ptiques avan\u00e7ades que permeten concentrar la radiaci\u00f3 \u00f2ptica i augmentar-la en una \u00e0rea molt petita a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;una antena -de 70 a 100 nan\u00f2metres de longitud-, que exerceix un efecte de resson\u00e0ncia i amplifica el camp de llum augmentant la seva intensitat en la part final, el que permet visualitzar l&#8217;activitat cel\u00b7lular a una escala de 10 nan\u00f2metres. &#8220;Les investigacions que hem realitzat demostren que el desenvolupament d&#8217;aquests\u00a0 sistemes \u00e9s factible segons les lleis f\u00edsiques&#8221;, indica Garc\u00eda-Parajo &#8220;el seg\u00fcent pas \u00e9s la seva implementaci\u00f3 en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de la biologia, una \u00e0rea en qu\u00e8 ja estem treballant&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Les investigacions que du a terme el grup de Bionanofot\u00f2nica de l&#8217;IBEC centren la seva atenci\u00f3 en l&#8217;activitat a nivell molecular que t\u00e9 lloc a la membrana cel\u00b7lular i, especialment, en l&#8217;estudi dels receptors involucrats en el reconeixement de patogens i\u00a0 l&#8217;adhesi\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular, aix\u00ed com els mecanismes d&#8217;acci\u00f3 que controlen l&#8217;agrupaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquests receptors.<\/p>\n<p>Les nanoantenes \u00f2ptiques formen part dels primers resultats que ofereix el projecte <a href=\"..\/~bio-light-touch\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bio-light Touch<\/a>, incl\u00f2s al VI Programa Marc de la Uni\u00f3 Europea, dins la categoria de NEST Adventure -que s&#8217;atorga a projectes molt ambiciosos des del punt de vista cient\u00edfic, per\u00f2 que impliquen un risc elevat-. El seu objectiu \u00e9s el desenvolupament d&#8217;un nou tipus de microscopi \u00f2ptic que no nom\u00e9s permeti visualitzar la din\u00e0mica inter-molecular en c\u00e8l\u00b7lules vives, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 caracteritzar les seves funcions bioqu\u00edmiques.
