L&#8217;apropament a aquestes tecnologies ha de ser de \u201cbaix-a-dalt\u201d: necessitem entendre la signatura el\u00e8ctrica de les biomol\u00e8cules m\u00e9s simples per crear despr\u00e9s circuits m\u00e9s complexos o entendre estructures macromoleculars.<\/p>\n<p>Amb aquest objectiu, el <a href=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/nanoprobes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grup de l&#8217;investigador principal de l&#8217;IBEC i professor de recerca ICREA Pau Gorostiza<\/a> ha desenvolupat un contacte el\u00e8ctric d&#8217;una sola prote\u00efna capa\u00e7 de transportar c\u00e0rrega el\u00e8ctrica de forma eficient. Els resultats revelen que una sola mutaci\u00f3 puntual en l&#8217;Azurina, la biomol\u00e8cula emprada en l&#8217;estudi, promou un eficient efecte t\u00fanel als electrons que la travessen. \u201cLa Azurina t\u00e9 un \u00e0tom de coure; normalment, el transport electr\u00f2nic intervingut per aquest metall succeeix en dos passos per a cada electr\u00f3; amb una sola mutaci\u00f3, nosaltres hem aconseguit que el transport electr\u00f2nic segueixi un efecte t\u00fanel directe\u201d, explica Marta Pozuelo, recentment doctorada en el grup de Pau i que ha desenvolupat l&#8217;estudi.<\/p>\n<p>Els resultats demostren que les vies de conducci\u00f3 el\u00e8ctrica de l&#8217;Azurina es poden ajustar amb molta precisi\u00f3 per mitj\u00e0 de mutacions puntuals en la part externa de la prote\u00efna, sense afectar a la seva estructura i funci\u00f3 global. \u201cHem demostrat un mecanisme estructural mitjan\u00e7ant el qual la prote\u00efna podria controlar el transport de c\u00e0rrega en molts escenaris d&#8217;inter\u00e8s biol\u00f2gic\u201d, suggereix Pau.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest contacte nanom\u00e8tric suposa a m\u00e9s una plataforma \u00fanica per estudiar els canvis en la transfer\u00e8ncia d&#8217;electrons relacionats amb l&#8217;estructura de diverses biomol\u00e8cules similars a l&#8217;azurina.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article referenciat:<\/strong> Ruiz MP, Aragon\u00e8s AC, Camarero N, Vilhena JG, Ortega M, Zotti LA, P\u00e9rez R, Cuevas JC, Gorostiza P, D\u00edez-P\u00e9rez I.
