{"id":65144,"date":"2019-01-14T14:00:02","date_gmt":"2019-01-14T13:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/?p=65144"},"modified":"2019-04-12T13:50:31","modified_gmt":"2019-04-12T11:50:31","slug":"head-of-communications-and-public-relations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/ca\/head-of-communications-and-public-relations\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Communications and Public Relations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Work proactively with IBEC Management to develop integrated communications strategies in support of IBEC\u2019s mission and vision.<\/li><li>Plan, develop, organize, implement, monitor and evaluate the communications and public relations, engagement and science education, alumni relations and fundraising functions at the Institute.<\/li><li>Identify, build and nurture relationships between the company and different audiences in order to project IBEC and earn recognition as one of the world&#8217;s leading research centers in bioengineering to improve health.<\/li><li>Provide vision, leadership, and support for internal and external communications activities ensuring products and services are delivered to the highest standard and levels of creativity. <ul><li>Special emphasis will be given on: \u00a0press and media relations, digital and social communications.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>In addition: print and online publications, branding, crisis communication, conference and event organization, editorial support, visual identity guidelines and internal communications. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Oversee public engagement and science education activities, fostering interactions with students, teachers and the general public through initiatives based on IBEC science and the strategic priorities of the Institute.<\/li><li>Boost alumni relations activities and initiatives, promoting engagement among the extended IBEC community of current and former researchers and staff.<\/li><li>Support IBEC\u2019s Management for fundraising activities and donor relations, including major donor strategies, legacies, campaigns, regular giving and stewardship.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements\nfor candidates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>University degree. A postgraduate or master\u2019s degree\nwill be advantageous.<\/li><li>Over 6 years of communications, public relations,\nengagement and science education and fundraising or similar experience, ideally\nin a setting like IBEC.<\/li><li>At least 3 years of experience in a position of\nleadership<\/li><li>A proven track record of creative leadership in the\ndevelopment of communication plans in collaboration with a range of internal\nand external stakeholders.<\/li><li>Demonstrated experience in communications and public\nrelations, with a good sense of the changing landscapes and latest trends in\nthese areas. <\/li><li>Solid understanding of, or interest in, science.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A strong foundation in core communications skills such\nas press and media relations, web development, print and outline publications,\nsocial media strategy, internal communications branding, crisis communication,\nevent organization and public engagement.<\/li><li>Ability to effectively engage and interface with a\nwide range of interlocutors, including senior management as well as scientists,\nstaff and students in an international and intercultural environment.<\/li><li>Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in\nEnglish. Knowledge of Catalan and Spanish.<\/li><li>Proactivity, commitment, integrity, creativity, people\nmanagement and result oriented.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Working\nconditions and entitlements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Working conditions:<ul><li>Full-time permanent contract.
