Els investigadors han observat que durant aquest proc\u00e9s les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules esdevenen bi-nucleades: dupliquen el material gen\u00e8tic i el separen en dos nuclis, per\u00f2 no s\u2019arriben a dividir en dues c\u00e8l\u00b7lules independents. \u201cEns va sorprendre molt descobrir c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que en comptes de tenir un nucli, com \u00e9s habitual en la majoria de teixits, en tenen dos, i cadascun d\u2019ells cont\u00e9 una c\u00f2pia de l\u2019ADN de la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula\u201d afirma Trepat, investigador ICREA a l\u2019IBEC i professor associat de la Universitat de Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>Els investigadors han descobert que el mecanisme pel qual les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules esdevenen bi-nucleades \u00e9s d\u2019origen biomec\u00e0nic. Un cop l\u2019ADN ja s\u2019ha separat en dos nuclis, la majoria de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules animals formen un anell contr\u00e0ctil al seu equador. A mesura que es va contraient, aquest anell divideix la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula mare en dues c\u00e8l\u00b7lules filles. En el cas de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules del cor del peix zebra, l\u2019estudi mostra que l\u2019anell s\u2019adhereix a les fibres del seu entorn de manera que no es pot contraure. El resultat \u00e9s que les dues c\u00e8l\u00b7lules filles no poden arribar a separar-se malgrat haver duplicat correctament el seu ADN.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa multinucleaci\u00f3 \u00e9s un fenomen ben conegut en c\u00e0ncer, perqu\u00e8 \u00e9s una causa d\u2019inestabilitat gen\u00f2mica. \u00c9s a dir, les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules canceroses perden el control de les prote\u00efnes que sintetitzen i es comporten patol\u00f2gicament. En el cas del cor peix zebra, la multinucleaci\u00f3 \u00e9s fisiol\u00f2gica i no sembla causar cap problema\u201d, afirma Marina Uroz, primer autora de l\u2019article. Les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules card\u00edaques adultes no poden cr\u00e9ixer i dividir-se per substituir les danyades, i la lesi\u00f3 esdev\u00e9 irreversible. Per\u00f2 aix\u00f2 no passa en tots els animals. Un peix d\u2019aigua dol\u00e7a originari del Sud-est d\u2019\u00c0sia, conegut com a peix zebra, pot regenerar per complet el seu cor fins i tot despr\u00e9s de l\u2019amputaci\u00f3 del 20% del seu
