
{"id":73723,"date":"2020-04-24T11:19:59","date_gmt":"2020-04-24T09:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/?p=73723"},"modified":"2020-06-15T11:18:57","modified_gmt":"2020-06-15T09:18:57","slug":"la-bioenginyeria-contribueix-a-nous-avencos-contra-el-cancer-infantil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/ca\/la-bioenginyeria-contribueix-a-nous-avencos-contra-el-cancer-infantil\/","title":{"rendered":"La bioenginyeria contribueix a nous aven\u00e7os contra el c\u00e0ncer infantil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La seva aparici\u00f3 \u00e9s m\u00e9s freq\u00fcent en les gl\u00e0ndules suprarenals i al voltant d&#8217;elles, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 pot presentar-se en altres \u00e0rees de l&#8217;abdomen i al t\u00f2rax, el coll i prop de la columna vertebral.<\/p>\n<p>Ara, Investigadors de l&#8217;Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">IBEC<\/span>), l&#8217;Institut d&#8217;Investigaci\u00f3 Sanit\u00e0ria\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">INCLIVA<\/span>\u00a0i l&#8217;Hospital Cl\u00ednic de Val\u00e8ncia han\u00a0fet\u00a0un pas m\u00e9s en la comprensi\u00f3 de com evolucionen aquests tumors, el que obre la porta a trobar noves ter\u00e0pies per a tractar aquest tipus de c\u00e0ncer. En concret, els experts han descobert com afecta la rigidesa de la matriu extracel\u00b7lular tumoral a\u00a0l&#8217;agressivitat\u00a0del neuroblastoma.<\/p>\n<p>El descobriment es recull en un estudi publicat aquest mes d&#8217;abril a la revista Scientific Reports que signen un grup d&#8217;experts entre els quals es troba el Professor Josep Samitier, director de l&#8217;IBEC i responsable de Grup de Nanobioenginyeria de l&#8217;Institut i professor a la Universitat de Barcelona (UB).<\/p>\n<p>Estudis anteriors ja indicaven que la quantitat i disposici\u00f3 dels diferents elements del microambient tumoral podrien associar-se amb l&#8217;agressivitat del neuroblastoma modificant la seva rigidesa. Aquests treballs suggerien que les matrius extracel\u00b7lulars m\u00e9s r\u00edgides generen un comportament tumoral m\u00e9s agressiu, el que va motivar als autors de l&#8217;estudi publicat ara a enfocar la nova investigaci\u00f3 abordant la rigidesa de la matriu de forma senzilla i gen\u00e8rica.<\/p>\n<p>Per a l&#8217;elaboraci\u00f3 de l&#8217;estudi, els investigadors van fer servir un model tridimensional obtingut a trav\u00e9s de la impressi\u00f3 3D capa\u00e7 de generar diferents nivells de rigidesa per recrear versions simplificades de tumors. Gr\u00e0cies a aquesta nova tecnologia els experts van poder adonar-se de com les propietats biomec\u00e0niques de la matriu extracel\u00b7lular tumoral afectaven l&#8217;evoluci\u00f3 del neuroblastoma.<\/p>\n<p>En primer lloc, els investigadors van desenvolupar patrons d&#8217;hidrogels amb tres rigideses diferents que van aconseguir modular incrementant o disminuint la quantitat d&#8217;un compost anomenat alginat\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">metacrilado<\/span>. Despr\u00e9s van cultivar c\u00e8l\u00b7lules\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">neurobl\u00e0stiques<\/span>\u00a0agressives en aquests models i, finalment, van estudiar el seu comportament al llarg del temps.<\/p>\n<p>Els resultats de l&#8217;estudi posen de manifest que les matrius m\u00e9s r\u00edgides afavoreixen l&#8217;adaptaci\u00f3 i el creixement de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules m\u00e9s agressives, el que corrobora que la rigidesa de la membrana extracel\u00b7lular tumoral juga un paper clau en el desenvolupament del tumor. A m\u00e9s, aix\u00f2 obre la porta a futurs assajos terap\u00e8utics dirigits a bloquejar la interacci\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular amb els components que confereixen rigidesa a la matriu extracel\u00b7lular tumoral.<\/p>\n<p>El treball publicat ara forma part d&#8217;una investigaci\u00f3 molt m\u00e9s extensa durant la qual els investigadors aniran augmentant la complexitat dels models. Aix\u00ed, per exemple, est\u00e0 previst que els experts vagin introduint al cultiu mixt de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules tumorals altres d&#8217;<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">estromals<\/span>\u00a0-c\u00e8l\u00b7lules no tumorals que conformen l&#8217;estroma o teixit estructural al voltant de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules tumorals-, a part de nous components de la matriu extracel\u00b7lular,\u00a0cosa que\u00a0els permetr\u00e0 obtenir patrons caracter\u00edstics de la matriu associats a determinats comportaments cel\u00b7lulars.<\/p>\n<p>En l&#8217;article han participat investigadors dels grups de la Professora Rosa Noguera i\u00a0del\u00a0Professor Josep Samitier com a part d&#8217;un dels tres projectes col\u00b7laboratius entre el\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">CIBERONC<\/span>\u00a0i el\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">CIBER<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">BBN<\/span>\u00a0que es van posar en marxa el 2018. A m\u00e9s, ha contribu\u00eft a\u00a0l&#8217;elaboraci\u00f3\u00a0de l&#8217;estudi l&#8217;investigador Ezequiel\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">Monferrer<\/span>, que compta amb una Ajuda predoctoral de la Seu Provincial de Val\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;Associaci\u00f3 Espanyola Contra el C\u00e0ncer (<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">AECC<\/span>).
