El primer implica alguns problemes \u00e8tics, a m\u00e9s de dificultats per extrapolar les dades a les condicions humanes. D&#8217;altra banda, els cultius cel\u00b7lulars <em>in vitro<\/em> s\u00f3n dif\u00edcils d&#8217;establir, ja que \u00e9s complicat simular les complexes interaccions c\u00e8l\u00b7lula-c\u00e8l\u00b7lula i c\u00e8l\u00b7lula-matriu, decisives en la regulaci\u00f3 del creixement cel\u00b7lular.<\/p>\n<p>Ara, el grup de recerca de l&#8217;IBEC &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/es\/biosensors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biosensors per a la Bioenginyeria<\/a>&#8221; dirigit pel Professor d\u00b4Investigaci\u00f3 ICREA Javier Ram\u00f3n-Azc\u00f3n, publica a la revista <em>Nanoscale Advances<\/em> <strong>una innovadora bastida basada en nanotubs de carboni i en tecnologia de criogel, que permet el creixement de teixits a escala mil\u00b7lim\u00e8trica al laboratori.<\/strong> Aquesta tecnologia pot utilitzar-se com a substitut de models animals i de cultiu de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules<em> in vitro<\/em> per al descobriment de f\u00e0rmacs. A m\u00e9s, aquest nou suport tindr\u00e0 sens dubte un impacte molt positiu en altres camps com el dels trasplantaments, la regeneraci\u00f3 d&#8217;\u00f2rgans i el modelatge de malalties, ja que millorar\u00e0 la tecnologia d&#8217;\u00f2rgan-en-un-xip que simula les activitats, la mec\u00e0nica i la fisiologia d&#8217;\u00f2rgans sencers.<\/p>\n<h3>La nova bastida combina nanotubs de carboni amb tecnologia criogel<\/h3>\n<p>La nova bastida, recentment desenvolupada, reuneix les propietats regeneradores de la gelatina, l&#8217;estabilitat mec\u00e0nica de la cel\u00b7lulosa i els nanotubs de carboni, que milloren l&#8217;estabilitat mec\u00e0nica i les caracter\u00edstiques el\u00e8ctriques. L&#8217;originalitat d&#8217;aquest treball est\u00e0 en el fet que els investigadors van aplicar la tecnologia criogel, que consisteix en congelar la bastida, per obtenir la configuraci\u00f3 de microporus. L&#8217;estructura de microporus \u00e9s de crucial import\u00e0ncia, perqu\u00e8 permet la correcta difusi\u00f3 de nutrients entre les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules. Durant el proc\u00e9s de congelaci\u00f3, l&#8217;aigua forma cristalls de gel dins de l&#8217;estructura, i una vegada descongelats, deixen els porus vuits. Un altre aspecte innovador \u00e9s que aqu\u00ed, la direccionalitat de congelaci\u00f3, es va for\u00e7ar des d&#8217;un sol eix, perqu\u00e8 les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules del m\u00fascul esquel\u00e8tic necessiten una morfologia altament alineada per a fusionar-se. Les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules del m\u00fascul esquel\u00e8tic formen el teixit muscular estirat que d\u00f3na moviment al cos a trav\u00e9s de l&#8217;acci\u00f3 del sistema nervi\u00f3s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aquesta t\u00e8cnica permet generar teixit muscular esquel\u00e8tic a escala mil\u00b7lim\u00e8trica, simulant el seu entorn 3D sobre una bastida, ja que aquesta t\u00e9 una alta connectivitat entre els porus i una major estabilitat mec\u00e0nica que altres bastides pr\u00e8viament desenvolupades basades en hidrogels.<\/strong> En aquest cas, les propietats el\u00e8ctriques de la bastida\u00a0s\u00f3n\u00a0un aspecte\u00a0rellevant, ja que\u00a0les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules musculars se sotmeten constantment a contraccions en resposta a senyals nervioses transmeses el\u00e8ctricament. Amb l&#8217;\u00fas de\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">nanotubs<\/span>\u00a0de carboni, aquesta bastida permet l&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 de polsos el\u00e8ctrics que estimularan el desenvolupament del teixit i la seva maduraci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<h3>Fer cr\u00e9ixer teixits al\u00a0laboratori\u00a0per a estudiar les respostes cel\u00b7lulars<\/h3>\n<p>L&#8217;enginyeria de teixits \u00e9s un dels camps\u00a0m\u00e9s\u00a0prometedors de la medicina del futur, i el seu objectiu\u00a0\u00e9s\u00a0fabricar, reparar i\/o reempla\u00e7ar teixits i \u00f2rgans. Aix\u00f2 ho fa creant teixits que creixen sobre bastides, un dels principals pilars d&#8217;aquesta tecnologia. En poques paraules, els investigadors posen c\u00e8l\u00b7lules sobre la bastida i els hi proporcionen els nutrients i les forces mec\u00e0niques necess\u00e0ries\u00a0perqu\u00e8\u00a0desenvolupin un teixit.
