La punta afilada muntada en el sensor de for\u00e7a actua com a nanoel\u00e8ctrode i pot detectar les propietats el\u00e8ctriques locals de la interf\u00edcie semiconductor \/ electr\u00f2lit quan s&#8217;utilitzen freq\u00fc\u00e8ncies en el rang dels MHz.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Els biosensors electr\u00f2nics org\u00e0nics podrien aviat fer realitat el desenvolupament d&#8217;aparells electr\u00f2nics per a la interacci\u00f3 amb sistemes biol\u00f2gics de baix cost, d&#8217;un sol \u00fas, flexibles i biocompatibles.<\/p>\n<p>Actualment els biosensors electr\u00f2nics basats en materials org\u00e0nics estan evolucionant a un ritme molt r\u00e0pid. Els dispositius bioelectr\u00f2nics org\u00e0nics com el Transistor Org\u00e0nic d&#8217;Efecte de Camp Electrol\u00edtic (EGOFET) o el Transistor Electroqu\u00edmic Org\u00e0nic (OECT) podrien fer realitat aviat el somni de disposar de dispositius electr\u00f2nics de baix cost, d\u00b4un sol \u00fas, flexibles i biocompatibles per a la seva interacci\u00f3 amb els sistemes biol\u00f2gics. Actualment, existeixen ja aplicacions basades en aquests transistors en els laboratoris d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 com per exemple els biosensors org\u00e0nics implantables per enregistrar l&#8217;activitat el\u00e8ctrica de les neurones <em>in-vivo<\/em> o el desenvolupament de pells electr\u00f2niques prost\u00e8tiques basades en biosensors org\u00e0nics, el que ofereix grans promeses per a aplicacions m\u00e8diques en un futur proper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Microsc\u00f2pia basada en forces el\u00e8ctriques per a l&#8217;optimitzaci\u00f3 de dispositius org\u00e0nics operats en soluci\u00f3ns d\u00b4electr\u00f2lits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tot i els aven\u00e7os dels \u00faltims anys, portar aquests dispositius dels laboratoris d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 al mercat requereix de la seva optimitzaci\u00f3. El desenvolupament de molts d&#8217;aquests dispositius actualment es veu obstaculitzat per la dificultat de visualitzar els processos el\u00e8ctrics i electroqu\u00edmics que tenen lloc en la interf\u00edcie entre el biosensor, la soluci\u00f3 l\u00edquida i el sistema biol\u00f2gic d&#8217;inter\u00e8s a escales molt petites (la nanoescala). En aquest estudi, s&#8217;ha fet un important pas endavant per resoldre aquest problema de llarga durada. Espec\u00edficament, s&#8217;ha demostrat que la conductivitat i la capacit\u00e0ncia interfacial de la interf\u00edcie entre el biosensor org\u00e0nic i l&#8217;electr\u00f2lit es poden mapejar amb resoluci\u00f3 espacial a la nanoescala en un biosensor org\u00e0nic en funcionament. Per aconseguir-ho, ha estat clau una t\u00e8cnica de microsc\u00f2pia desenvolupada fa alguns anys pel grup de Caracteritzaci\u00f3 Bioel\u00e8ctrica a Nanoescala de l&#8217;IBEC liderat pel Prof. Gabriel Gomila de la Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Aquesta t\u00e8cnica, coneguda com a microsc\u00f2pia diel\u00e8ctrica de rastreig en l\u00edquid, permet caracteritzar les propietats el\u00e8ctriques de les interf\u00edcies s\u00f2lides \/ electr\u00f2lit mesurant la for\u00e7a el\u00e8ctrica entre una punta molt afilada muntada en un microsc\u00f2pic i la superf\u00edcie del biosensor.<\/p>\n<h5><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-78571 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Imagen14343-681x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"255\" height=\"383\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Imagen14343-681x1024.png 681w, https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Imagen14343-199x300.png 199w, https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Imagen14343-768x1155.png 768w, https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Imagen14343-100x150.png 100w, https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Imagen14343.png 835w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 255px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 255\/383;\" \/><\/h5>\n<p>Per eliminar els efectes d&#8217;apantallament i dissipaci\u00f3 produ\u00efts per les solucions l\u00edquides amb ions, s&#8217;utilitzen freq\u00fc\u00e8ncies en el rang dels Mega Hertz. La mesura de forces el\u00e8ctriques en lloc de corrents el\u00e8ctrics, com fan altres t\u00e8cniques, proporciona una sensibilitat i una resoluci\u00f3 espacial incomparables a la microsc\u00f2pia de for\u00e7a diel\u00e8ctrica d&#8217;escombrat en l\u00edquid. En el present treball, per primer cop, es varen poder obtenir imatges de com els electrons s&#8217;acumulen a la interf\u00edcie biosensor \/ electr\u00f2lit quan s&#8217;aplica un voltatge extern a la porta d&#8217;un EGOFET operatiu, i com una capa a\u00efllant ultrafina nanoestructurada de nom\u00e9s uns pocs \u00e0toms de gruix est\u00e0 present en la seva superf\u00edcie i determina el rendiment del dispositu. L\u2019EGOFET analitzat en aquest estudi va ser desenvolupat en el grup de la Dra. Marta Mas Torrents de l&#8217;ICMAB i t\u00e9 la capacitat de registrar l&#8217;activitat bioel\u00e8ctrica de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules excitables el\u00e8ctriques.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest estudi, al permetre visualitzar les propietats el\u00e8ctriques de les interf\u00edcies dels biosensors que fins ara havien romanien invisibles, ofereix noves vies per a l&#8217;optimitzaci\u00f3 del rendiment dels biosensors org\u00e0nics i obre el cam\u00ed per a la seva adopci\u00f3 m\u00e9s r\u00e0pida en aplicacions en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit m\u00e8dic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6>Figura: Imatges de for\u00e7a el\u00e8ctrica adquirides a dist\u00e0ncies decreixents del canal d&#8217;un Transistor d&#8217;efecte de Camp Org\u00e0nic Electrol\u00edtic (EGOFET) en funcionament.
