{"id":86775,"date":"2021-08-05T10:49:15","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T08:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/?p=86775"},"modified":"2022-10-28T11:48:18","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T09:48:18","slug":"predoctoral-researcher-at-the-smart-nano-bio-devices-research-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/ca\/predoctoral-researcher-at-the-smart-nano-bio-devices-research-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Predoctoral researcher at the Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities \/ The successful candidate will develop research involving:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Synthesis of self-propelled nanoparticles (mesoporous silica, liposomes and other types) based on chemical methods.<\/li>\n<li>Enzyme functionalization, understanding of enzyme-cascade reactions and catalysis.<\/li>\n<li>Physicochemical understanding of particle-particle communication (bot-bot), signal propagation and collective motion.<\/li>\n<li>Applications of tracking algorithms to swarms of self-propelled nanoparticles.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of nano-swarms and the guidance of large population of particles in microfluidic devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirement for candidates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree and Master on any field on Chemistry, Physics, Nanosciences, Nanotechnology, Material Science and related.<\/li>\n<li>Multidisciplinary qualifications (Physics\/Engineering, Biochem\/Mat Science, Physics\/Chemistry, etc.) will be a plus since the project is at the edge between different disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on nanoparticles specifically on self-propelled nanoparticles will be a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on enzyme and catalytic reactions.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in particle tracking, fluid dynamics or microfluidics will be a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.<\/li>\n<li>High motivation on understanding collective phenomena of artificial active matter, swimmers and nanomotors.<\/li>\n<li>High level of English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of available positions: 1<\/li>\n<li>Starting date: 01\/10\/2021<\/li>\n<li><em>Full time 4-years<\/em> <em>Very competitive salary.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Measures to reconcile work and family life (maternity and paternity leave, flexible schedule working hours, teleworking, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
