Tot i que el m\u00e8tode ha estat considerat com l&#8217;est\u00e0ndard d&#8217;or, el proc\u00e9s \u00e9s cost\u00f3s, lent i poc freq\u00fcent, cosa que no permet als operadors respondre r\u00e0pidament als problemes o identificar l&#8217;arrel de la pudor.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8220;Visc a dos quil\u00f2metres (1,2 milles) d&#8217;una planta de tractament d&#8217;aig\u00fces residuals i, de tant en tant, ni tan sols pots obrir la finestra perqu\u00e8 l&#8217;olor \u00e9s horrible&#8221;, diu l&#8217;autor principal Santiago Marco de l&#8217;Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>No hem de subestimar l&#8217;impacte en la qualitat de vida de les persones que envolten aquestes instal\u00b7lacions, a m\u00e9s de les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies f\u00edsiques i psicol\u00f2giques d&#8217;estar exposats a males olors.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Santiago Marco, investigador principal de l&#8217;IBEC<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Per\u202fmonitorar\u202fmillor l&#8217;emissi\u00f3 d&#8217;olors de les plantes d&#8217;aig\u00fces residuals, Marco i el seu equip van dissenyar\u202funa e-nose\u202fport\u00e0til per a vigil\u00e0ncia en temps real i visualitzaci\u00f3 de dades amb l&#8217;ajuda d&#8217;intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial (IA). L&#8217;equip va recol\u00b7lectar bosses d&#8217;aire d&#8217;una planta i va entrenar el nas electr\u00f2nic per ensumar subst\u00e0ncies qu\u00edmiques picants com el sulfur d&#8217;hidrogen, l&#8217;amon\u00edac i el di\u00f2xid de sofre, que fan olor\u202fd&#8217;ous\u202fpodrits, orina i f\u00f2sfors cremats, respectivament. La\u202fe-nose\u202ftamb\u00e9 est\u00e0 equipada amb un sensor de di\u00f2xid de carboni, un indicador de l&#8217;activitat bacteriana. En entorns de laboratori,\u202fla e-nose\u202fva funcionar gaireb\u00e9 tan b\u00e9 com els nassos humans.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Despr\u00e9s, entre el gener i el juny, els investigadors van connectar\u202fla e-nose\u202fd&#8217;1,3 quilograms (2,9 lliures) a un dron i el van enviar al cel en una planta de tractament d&#8217;aig\u00fces residuals mitjana al sud d&#8217;Espanya. En passar el cursor sobre diferents instal\u00b7lacions de la planta, el &#8220;dron\u202folfactador&#8221; aspira aire a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;un tub de 10 metres (33 peus) i analitza l&#8217;aire en una cambra de sensor.<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8220;El m\u00e9s complicat del mesurament d&#8217;olors \u00e9s que \u00e9s una percepci\u00f3 humana i no est\u00e0 ben definida&#8221;, diu la coautora Maria Desitjada\u202fEsclapez\u202fde\u202fMediterranean\u202fWater\u202fPurification, una empresa de serveis de clavegueram i sanejament. &#8220;No nom\u00e9s estem intentant quantificar els components particulars o individuals de l&#8217;emissi\u00f3, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 de predir la intensitat de les olors percebudes pels humans&#8221;.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Els resultats van demostrar que\u202fla e-nose\u202fd&#8217;un dron era factible per\u202fmonitorar\u202fl&#8217;olor de les aig\u00fces residuals. En analitzar les mateixes mostres d&#8217;aire en una prova de camp, 10 de 13 mesuraments de\u202fla e-nose\u202fes van alinear amb les avaluacions del panell hum\u00e0. Amb l&#8217;ajuda de la mobilitat del dron i l&#8217;algorisme de\u202fla IA, l&#8217;equip tamb\u00e9 va tra\u00e7ar un mapa de la concentraci\u00f3 d&#8217;olor temporal i espacial i, per primera vegada, va predir la intensitat de l&#8217;olor a partir dels mesuraments del dron.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span class=\"TextRun BCX8 SCXW110523839\" lang=\"CA-ES\" xml:lang=\"CA-ES\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX8 SCXW110523839\">Estem molt contents amb els resultats, per\u00f2 necessitem m\u00e9s validaci\u00f3 i fer que el dispositiu sigui m\u00e9s robust per a una operaci\u00f3 de planta real<\/span><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Santiago Marco<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">L&#8217;equip planeja retallar una mica de pes addicional de\u202fla e-nose\u202fi desenvolupar un proc\u00e9s estandarditzat per al m\u00e8tode.
