The symposium aims to celebrate the strong magnetic resonance momentum in Barcelona and bring together the community working with this highly versatile technique in a plethora of different applications. Also, it will represent the kick-off meeting upon the installation in Barcelona of three new magnetic resonance instruments: a\u00a0GHz NMR<\/u>, a pulsed\u00a0EPR-ENDOR<\/u>, and a\u00a0MRI<\/u>\u00a0linked to hyperpolarization.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0NMR<\/u>\u00a0and\u00a0EPR<\/u>\u00a0instruments will be part of the Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona (CCiTUB<\/a>). The\u00a0Hyperpolarization-MRI<\/u>\u00a0instrument is part of the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC<\/a>) and is located next to the\u00a0NMR<\/u>\u00a0instruments in the Barcelona Science Park. The\u00a01 GHz NMR<\/u>\u00a0instrument is part of a Spanish Singular Scientific and Technological Infrastructure with nodes in Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid.<\/p>\n The new infrastructures witness the vitality of the magnetic resonance community. We want to emphasize by this joint celebration the importance of strengthening the connection between the diverse flavors of magnetic resonance, as well as the different scientific fields and institutions.
