Desde entonces, cada a\u00f1o se celebra esta fecha como el D\u00eda Mundial del Embri\u00f3logo, y seg\u00fan estima el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmartivf.org\/\">ICMART<\/a> (Comit\u00e9 Internacional de Seguimiento de las Tecnolog\u00edas de Reproducci\u00f3n Asistida), hasta el a\u00f1o 2018, m\u00e1s de 8 millones de beb\u00e9s en todo el mundo han venido al mundo gracias a la FIV. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>A lo largo de su historia, el laboratorio de Fertilizaci\u00f3n In Vitro (FIV) ha experimentado una profunda transformaci\u00f3n. Con m\u00e1s de cuatro d\u00e9cadas de avances, las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas introducidas en el campo de la FIV han superado todas las expectativas, alcanzando logros antes inimaginables. Entre estos avances destacan la criopreservaci\u00f3n de ovocitos y embriones, la introducci\u00f3n de la inyecci\u00f3n intracitoplasm\u00e1tica de espermatozoides (ICSI) y los trasplantes uterinos. Estos impresionantes progresos han abierto nuevas posibilidades en el tratamiento de la infertilidad y han brindado esperanza a muchas parejas que desean formar una familia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;A pesar de todos estos avances, la tasa promedio de \u00e9xito de un tratamiento de FIV, es decir, el n\u00famero de embriones transferidos inicialmente que conducen a un nacimiento vivo, sigue siendo relativamente baja (30%), y los ciclos repetidos de FIV sin \u00e9xito implican una carga emocional, f\u00edsica y financiera significativa para las mujeres y las parejas.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La selecci\u00f3n de embriones es uno de los pasos m\u00e1s desafiantes en el proceso de FIV i, aunque en la actualidad se utilizan varios m\u00e9todos para identificar el embri\u00f3n con el mayor potencial de implantaci\u00f3n; ninguno de los enfoques actuales ha logrado mejorar de manera significativa las tasas de embarazo en la poblaci\u00f3n general de parejas con problemas de fertilidad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para superar este cuello de botella, el proyecto <a href=\"https:\/\/hylightproject.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HYLIGHT<\/a> est\u00e1 desarrollando una tecnolog\u00eda robusta y f\u00e1cil de usar para seleccionar, de forma no invasiva, los embriones que son m\u00e1s competentes para la implantaci\u00f3n, aumentando la tasa de \u00e9xito y reduciendo el llamado \u00abtiempo hasta el embarazo\u00bb. Este innovador dispositivo de diagn\u00f3stico combina el an\u00e1lisis hiperespectral con la inteligencia artificial, y permite la clasificaci\u00f3n de embriones en funci\u00f3n de sus perfiles metab\u00f3licos, aprovechando la autofluorescencia natural de compuestos celulares clave.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el prop\u00f3sito de superar este cuello de botella, el proyecto HYLIGHT est\u00e1 desarrollando una tecnolog\u00eda robusta y f\u00e1cil de usar para seleccionar, de manera no invasiva, los embriones que poseen mayor competencia para la implantaci\u00f3n. Gracias a este avance, se espera aumentar la tasa de \u00e9xito y reducir el denominado \u00abtiempo hasta el embarazo\u00bb en tratamientos de FIV. Este innovador dispositivo de diagn\u00f3stico combina el an\u00e1lisis hiperespectral con la inteligencia artificial, permitiendo la clasificaci\u00f3n de embriones en funci\u00f3n de sus perfiles metab\u00f3licos y aprovechando la autofluorescencia natural de compuestos celulares clave.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex
