El estudio, publicado en la revista <em>Nature Communications,<\/em> ofrece una alternativa prometedora a las limitaciones de los tratamientos disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Hemos demostrado que nuestro enfoque es m\u00e1s eficaz que el tratamiento convencional con BCG en ratones, lo que supone un gran avance en la inmunoterapia para este tipo de c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samuel S\u00e1nchez<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoy en d\u00eda el tratamiento convencional para el c\u00e1ncer de vejiga no invasivo es la inmunoterapia con BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Gu\u00e9rin), una bacteria atenuada que se introduce en la vejiga para estimular la respuesta inmune contra las c\u00e9lulas tumorales. Sin embargo, este tratamiento presenta limitaciones importantes, como la necesidad de m\u00faltiples administraciones, efectos secundarios graves y una eficacia reducida en ciertos pacientes. Frente a estos inconvenientes, la nueva terapia basada en nanomotores ofrece una alternativa m\u00e1s eficaz, activando de forma m\u00e1s eficiente el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico y reduciendo significativamente el crecimiento tumoral en modelos precl\u00ednicos en rat\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estos nanomotores son nanopart\u00edculas autopropulsadas que utilizan la enzima ureasa para reaccionar con la urea presente en la orina.
