The project will involve implementing and using advanced experimental setups to manipulate the cell mechanical environment, molecular tools to interfere with the cell mechanotransduction machinery, and computational tools to analyze and interpret data. The project will also explore potential avenues to harness mechanotransduction mechanisms for potential therapeutic and diagnostic tools in cancer. The PhD project will be conducted in the framework of the project entitled: Role of force transmission between cell-cell adhesions and the nucleus in mechanotransduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This fellowship is associated with the research project <em>Generaci\u00f3n de Conocimiento<\/em>, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implementation and use of biophysical and mechanical techniques to manipulate the cell mechanical environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation and use of molecular techniques to interfere with the cell mechanotransduction machinery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a research project to understand and harness mechanotransduction mechanisms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements for candidates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essential:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BSc and MSc in biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, biomedicine, physics, or similar areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates should be ready to enter an official doctoral programme in December 2026 (under Spanish Law). By this time, they must have obtained a university degree and a master\u2019s degree; or must hold an official university qualification from a country of the European Higher Education Area with a minimum of 300 ECTS of official university studies, of which at least 60 are at master\u2019s level.
