Esta estrategia est\u00e1 inspirada en la que utilizan los motores moleculares en los sistemas naturales, cuando, en el interior celular, las prote\u00ednas motoras se unen a los filamentos del citoesqueleto para lograr el movimiento direccional.<\/p>\n<p>Las part\u00edculas Janus -que toman su nombre del Dios de las puertas en la mitolog\u00eda romana y que se representa con dos caras mirando a puntos opuestos-, est\u00e1n formadas por una mitad de platino y la otra de s\u00edlice. Cuando la cara del platino act\u00faa como un catalizador en per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno, la cara del s\u00edlice permanece inerte, una asimetr\u00eda en las propiedades qu\u00edmicas que produce el movimiento de autopropulsi\u00f3n en estos coloides. Los investigadores detectaron que las part\u00edculas tend\u00edan a tener una orientaci\u00f3n estable paralela a la superficie, y explotaron este fen\u00f3meno para guiar las part\u00edculas a lo largo de los diminutos pasos, de esta manera, pudieron demostrar que, la actividad qu\u00edmica de las part\u00edculas y las interacciones hidrodin\u00e1micas asociadas con las superficies cercanas son responsables del fen\u00f3meno observado.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLos resultados del estudio abren la posibilidad de guiar este tipo de part\u00edculas a lo largo de v\u00edas complejas mediante peque\u00f1as modificaciones de la superficie\u201d, comenta Samuel. \u201cEsto puede tener implicaciones significativas en el dise\u00f1o de nuevos micromotores artificiales para m\u00faltiples aplicaciones\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Simmchen, J., Katuri, J., Uspal, W.E., Popescu, M.N., Tasinkevych, M., and S\u00e1nchez, S.
