El color rosa muestra las im\u00e1genes fusionadas y los \u00faltimos paneles muestran un an\u00e1lisis de correlaci\u00f3n cruzada.<\/h6>\n<p>saludables como el desarrollo embrionario y la cicatrizaci\u00f3n o la progresi\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer en la enfermedad.<\/p>\n<p>A d\u00eda de hoy se sabe que las propiedades f\u00edsicas de la matriz extracelular (MEC), incluyendo su topolog\u00eda, propiedades mec\u00e1nicas y composici\u00f3n molecular, son se\u00f1ales f\u00edsicas que se sinergizan con comportamientos celulares como la contracci\u00f3n de la actomiosina &#8211; que genera estr\u00e9s mec\u00e1nico en las c\u00e9lulas animales &#8211; para regular la migraci\u00f3n celular.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, es un desaf\u00edo estudiar estas sinergias, porque mientras que la topolog\u00eda de la matriz es dif\u00edcil de controlar <em>in vivo<\/em>, los modelos dise\u00f1ados <em>in vitro<\/em> carecen de la complejidad bioqu\u00edmica y f\u00edsica del entorno celular.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores necesitaban encontrar un modelo de MEC in vitro capaz de reproducir de manera fiel la interacci\u00f3n entre las propiedades f\u00edsicas de la matriz con los factores moleculares que se encuentran en el cuerpo.<\/p>\n<p>Trabajando en colaboraci\u00f3n con colegas del Laboratorio Ib\u00e9rico Internacional de Nanotecnolog\u00eda (INL) en Braga, Portugal, el <a href=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/es\/nanobioengineering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grupo de investigaci\u00f3n del director del IBEC <\/a> sembr\u00f3 c\u00e9lulas sobre matrices 3D polarizadas que imitaban las caracter\u00edsticas estructurales y bioqu\u00edmicas de la matriz extracelular in vivo, incluyendo su topolog\u00eda, que era anisotr\u00f3pica (alineada) o isotr\u00f3pica (desordenada). Los investigadores encontraron que la direcci\u00f3n del movimiento celular, pero no la distancia recorrida, persiste cuando las matrices manipuladas son topol\u00f3gicamente anisotr\u00f3picas, pero cuando no lo son &#8211; cuando son isotr\u00f3picas &#8211; la direccionalidad celular es independiente de la contractilidad de la actomiosina.<\/p>\n<p>Por lo tanto podr\u00edan concluir que, para el movimiento celular dirigido, se requiere una sinergia de la contractilidad de la actomiosina con la anisotrop\u00eda del entorno celular. Tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1alaron que la anisotrop\u00eda contrarresta la falta de fuerzas dirigidas por la actomiosina para mejorar la capacidad de las c\u00e9lulas para moverse o invadir, y para estabilizar su direccionalidad.<\/p>\n<p>Estos avances respecto a los mecanismos biof\u00edsicos de la migraci\u00f3n celular dirigida en entornos de tipo nativo pueden contribuir a la comprensi\u00f3n de la motilidad direccional de las c\u00e9lulas, esencial en procesos como el c\u00e1ncer o el desarrollo embrionario.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Art\u00edculo referenciado:<\/em> <\/strong>David Caballero, Lucas Palacios, Paulo P.
