Uno de estos m\u00e9todos utiliza nanopart\u00edculas como portadores para la administraci\u00f3n de antibi\u00f3ticos, que circulan de forma aleatoria en l\u00edquido hasta que entran en contacto con las \u00e1reas infectadas. Sin embargo, estos no son muy efectivos, ya que necesitan poder acercarse mucho a la biopel\u00edcula.<\/p>\n<p>En el art\u00edculo publicado en <em>ACS Nano<\/em>, el grupo y sus colaboradores del <em>Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems<\/em> de Stuttgart demuestran que las bacterias no pat\u00f3genas <em>Magnetosopirrillum gryphiswalense<\/em> (MSR-1) pueden integrarse con los microtubos cargados de f\u00e1rmaco para construir sistemas bioh\u00edbridos controlables o &#8216;micronadadores&#8217; capaces de administrar antibi\u00f3ticos para combatir una biopel\u00edcula infecciosa.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abAplicando la capacidad de orientaci\u00f3n magn\u00e9tica externa y el potencial de las c\u00e9lulas MSR-1 como nadadores, nuestros bioh\u00edbridos pueden ser dirigidos e introducidos en biopel\u00edculas maduras de <em>E. coli<\/em>\u00ab, explica el Profesor ICREA e investigador principal del IBEC, Samuel S\u00e1nchez. \u00abLa liberaci\u00f3n del antibi\u00f3tico, ciprofloxacina, es desencadenada por el microambiente \u00e1cido de la biopel\u00edcula\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Al revisar las biopel\u00edculas que trataron con sus bioh\u00edbridos despu\u00e9s de 24 horas y de 48 horas respectivamente, los investigadores vieron que las biopel\u00edculas no volv\u00edan a formarse. \u00abNuestros bioh\u00edbridos penetran profundamente en las capas e impiden la progresi\u00f3n de la biopel\u00edcula\u00bb, afirma Samuel.<\/p>\n<p>La capacidad de las bacterias no pat\u00f3genas para dirigirse y desmantelar biopel\u00edculas da\u00f1inas abre las puertas a su uso para sistemas bioh\u00edbridos en aplicaciones anti-biopel\u00edcula en el futuro.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Art\u00edculo referenciado:<\/strong> <\/em>Morgan M.
