At this international meeting, researchers, doctors, and industry representatives currently working on different projects throughout this geographical area will come together both to report their latest results and to move forward on new joint initiatives. The seminar is being organized by the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), the Canc\u00e9rop\u00f4le GSO (Toulouse, Grand Sud-Ouest), and the Canc\u00e9rop\u00f4le CLARA (Lyon, Rh\u00f4ne Alpes-Auvergne), with the support of InNaBioSant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>The application of nanotechnology to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer opens the door to significant breakthroughs in the management of neoplastic disease. The control of biomolecular materials\u00a0 at the nano-scale has made it possible to create miniature devices that can provide much faster and more precise ways of diagnosing and monitoring cancer than those currently available. Nanotechnology will also be used to develop personalized therapies associated with fewer side effects.<\/p>\n<p>Efficient transfer of the power of nanotechnology from the laboratory to clinical applications depends on close collaboration between scientists and the authorities responsible for regulating and approving the use of new medical products and these agencies will also play an active role in the upcoming seminar.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this event is to foster collaboration between researchers and specialists in the fields of nanotechnology and cancer and to strengthen the links and relationships between researchers working throughout Catalonia, Toulouse-Montpellier-Bordeaux and Grenoble-Lyon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Catalonia and the French regions of the Grand Sud-Ouest, the Auvergne, and the Rh\u00f4ne Alpes are well known for their cutting-edge projects in the clinical application of nanotechnology in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
