\u2018Nanotechnology and Global Bioethics\u2019 was put together by the opinion group of the University of Barcelona\u2019s Bioethics and Law Observatory (OBD), of which IBEC\u2019s associate director Josep Samitier and Head of Corporate Projects Arantxa Sanz are members. The document identifies problems arising from the application of nanotechnology to biomedicine, the environment and biosafety, and addresses the social, legal and ethical implications, with the aim of guiding recommendations and encouraging transparent debate.<\/p>\n

The paper will be included in the book Bioethics and Nanotechnology, which is also coordinated by the OBD and published as part of the Ministry of Science and Innovation\u2019s research project \u00abNanobiolaw: ethical, social and legal implications of nanotechnologies\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The presentation will take place at 11:00 in the F\u00e8lix Serratosa room of the Cluster.
