
{"id":68033,"date":"2019-08-09T09:24:08","date_gmt":"2019-08-09T07:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/?p=68033"},"modified":"2019-08-30T12:52:11","modified_gmt":"2019-08-30T10:52:11","slug":"los-nanovectores-podrian-mejorar-la-administracion-combinada-de-farmacos-contra-la-malaria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/es\/los-nanovectores-podrian-mejorar-la-administracion-combinada-de-farmacos-contra-la-malaria\/","title":{"rendered":"Los nanovectores podr\u00edan mejorar la administraci\u00f3n combinada de f\u00e1rmacos contra la malaria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Para superar este obst\u00e1culo, el equipo de Fern\u00e1ndez-Busquets ha desarrollado un nanovector \u2013que consiste en peque\u00f1as esferas o liposomas\u2013 capaz de\u00a0<strong>transportar simult\u00e1neamente mol\u00e9culas solubles en agua<\/strong>\u00a0(hidrof\u00edlicos)\u00a0<strong>y en l\u00edpidos<\/strong>\u00a0(lipof\u00edlicos).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAl encapsular los dos f\u00e1rmacos en el mismo nanovector, nos aseguramos de que ambos perdurar\u00e1n el mismo tiempo en el organismo,\u201d explica Fern\u00e1ndez-Busquets. Como prueba de concepto, el equipo investigador introdujo el f\u00e1rmaco hidrosoluble pironaridina en la cavidad interna del liposoma, y el f\u00e1rmaco liposoluble atovacuona en la membrana del mismo. Adem\u00e1s, rodearon el liposoma de un anticuerpo que reconoce una prote\u00edna expresada por gl\u00f3bulos rojos (que est\u00e9n infectados o no) y gametocitos (la fase sexual del par\u00e1sito responsable de la transmisi\u00f3n entre hu\u00e9spedes). De ah\u00ed el nombre de inmunoliposoma.<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados muestran que ambos f\u00e1rmacos, cuando encapsulados, fueron capaces de\u00a0<strong>inhibir el crecimiento del par\u00e1sito\u00a0<\/strong><em>in vitro<\/em>\u00a0a concentraciones que no ten\u00edan ning\u00fan efecto cuando estaban libres. Gracias a los anticuerpos, los inmunoliposomas\u00a0<strong>se unieron r\u00e1pidamente a la c\u00e9lula diana y administraron el f\u00e1rmaco\u00a0<\/strong>de manera muy eficiente.<\/p>\n<p>Los autores se\u00f1alan que esta estrategia podr\u00eda aplicarse en un futuro cercano a casos de malaria grave que ingresan al hospital, donde la administraci\u00f3n intravenosa de liposomas es factible. El reto ser\u00e1 desarrollar nanovectores de administraci\u00f3n oral para tratar la malaria no grave, l\u00ednea de trabajo que el mismo grupo de investigaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 explorando.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLos tratamientos actuales act\u00faan mayoritariamente sobre las fases asexuales del par\u00e1sito.
