Esta enfermedad comporta la rotura progresiva y la degradaci\u00f3n del cart\u00edlago en las articulaciones, que conduce a un dolor cr\u00f3nico y a una movilidad reducida. Uno de los m\u00e9todos que actualmente existen para reparar estas lesiones es la implantaci\u00f3n de condrocitos (c\u00e9lulas de cart\u00edlago) extra\u00eddas del paciente. Sin embargo, esta t\u00e9cnica est\u00e1 limitada por la etapa de expansi\u00f3n celular requerida para generar tejidos suficientemente grandes para rellenar la lesi\u00f3n, puesto que muy a menudo los condrocitos se <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">desdiferencian<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> durante el cultivo. La formaci\u00f3n de cart\u00edlago empieza con la condensaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">mesenquimal<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> que migran unas hacia las otras para formar agregados celulares tridimensionales. En este trabajo, la condensaci\u00f3n <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">mesenquimal<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> se mejor\u00f3 ajustando el nivel de adherencia entre <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">MSCs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> y el sustrato a la <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nanoescala<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Esto promueve la migraci\u00f3n direccional de c\u00e9lulas, contribuye a la estabilidad mec\u00e1nica de los agregados celulares y <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">mejora las interacciones c\u00e9lula- c\u00e9lula, conduciendo a una mejor formaci\u00f3n del cart\u00edlago <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in vitro<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Mediante la modificaci\u00f3n de la cantidad y del espacio entre los motivos RGD en los <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nanopatrones<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, determinaron que hay m\u00e1s diferenciaci\u00f3n cuando se utilizan <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nanopatrones<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> S<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">90<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (aquellos que presentan el 90% de su superficie con una distancia entre los motivos RGD inferior a 70 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nm<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">). Estos <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nanopatrones<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">biocompatibles<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, previamente desarrollados en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Laboratorio de <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dendr\u00edmeros<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Biomim\u00e9ticos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> y <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fot\u00f3nica<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> del Centro Andaluz de <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nanomedicina<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> y Biotecnolog\u00eda (<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Bionand<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">), permiten ajustar la adhesi\u00f3n c\u00e9lula-sustrato y se pueden generar en grandes superficies, siendo por lo tanto compatible con el cultivo de tejidos. Resultados anteriores del grupo indican que los <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nanopatrones<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> S<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">90<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> aceleran el proceso de diferenciaci\u00f3n <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in vitro<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.
