Desde <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">la distribuci\u00f3n <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">selectiva de medicamentos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> dentro del cuerpo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> a la microcirug\u00eda, los micromotores se p<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ueden<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> incluso utilizar para limpiar contaminantes del medio ambiente. Tania Pati\u00f1o.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>Micromotores de propulsi\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica basados en estructuras organo-met\u00e1licas (MOFs)<\/strong><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Para construir estos nuevos micromotores, los investigadores del IBEC y <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">el ICN2 utilizaron un tipo de peque\u00f1as estructuras <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">organo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">-met\u00e1licas de cristal porosas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, conocidos como<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">MOFs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. El hecho que estos <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">MOFs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">engan<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> microporos l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s hace particularmente atractivos como <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">chasis de micromotores<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, puesto que los poros pueden actuar como espacio de carga. Sin embargo, cualquier veh\u00edculo funcional tambi\u00e9n necesita espacio para el motor. En este caso, se utiliz\u00f3 un proceso conocido como <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ozon<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">olisis<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> para crear cavidades m\u00e1s grandes en los cristales<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, donde<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> los mesopor<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s son <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">lo suficientemente <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">anchos <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">para que <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">los \u00abmotores\u00bb enzim\u00e1ticos se ajusten en <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">su<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> interior. <\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">Estos nuevos micromotores, denominados \u00ab<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">MOFtors<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00bb por los autores de<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> trabajo, son impulsados por la enzima catalasa. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">El <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">papel<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> de esta enzima<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> en los organismos es convertir el per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno en agua y gas de ox\u00edgeno. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">As\u00ed pues,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> cuando el per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> \u00abel combustible\u00bb<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 a los <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">MOFtors<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, las burbujas de ox\u00edgeno creadas por la reacci\u00f3n fueron expulsadas de los poros, generando propulsi\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, estos prototipos mostraron una alta eficiencia <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">en el uso del<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> combustible. Los investigadores probaron su capacidad de a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">sorber un contaminante del agua, como peque\u00f1os aspiradores. El contaminante utilizado, un tinte conocido como rodamina B, es un contaminante de agua de las industrias textil, pl\u00e1stica y de tinte. Cuando los <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">MOFtors<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> fueron a\u00f1adidos al agua contaminada sin el combustible per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno, sus poros a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">sorbieron alrededor del 14,6% del tinte. Sin embargo, cuando se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 el per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno, los motores \u201cpuestos en marcha\u201d a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">sorbie<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ndo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> m\u00e1s del 50% del contaminante<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">ya<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> que pod\u00edan <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">autopropulsarse<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">en el<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> agua. Este trabajo enfatiza el alto potencial de los cristales de MOF como micromotores.
