Esto se debe en parte a la gran cantidad de mutaciones gen\u00e9ticas que causan c\u00e1ncer, donde cada forma de la enfermedad interrumpe los procesos celulares y moleculares de diferentes maneras. Entre ellos se encuentra el gen RAS, cuya mutaci\u00f3n ocurre en alrededor del 30% de los c\u00e1nceres humanos<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW16451618 BCX8\">,<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW16451618 BCX8\">\u00a0y se sabe que causa la p\u00e9rdida de la arquitectura fisiol\u00f3gica de los epitelios. Los epitelios son tejidos importantes de nuestro organismo y producen las formas m\u00e1s agresivas de c\u00e1ncer: los carcinomas. En solo 24 horas, la activaci\u00f3n oncog\u00e9nica indujo inestabilidad estructural y mec\u00e1nica en los tejidos al desequilibrar las fuerzas intercelulares altamente controladas que dan a los epitelios su funci\u00f3n de barrera. Una inspecci\u00f3n m\u00e1s cercana de las muestras con el oncog\u00e9n RAS activado revel\u00f3 que las c\u00e9lulas se hab\u00edan separado primero en dos capas discretas, que preparaban todo el tejido para contraerse y formar una masa cancerosa 3D. Esto significa que todas las c\u00e9lulas transformadas con RAS que forman el tejido deben coordinar su esfuerzo mec\u00e1nico de una manera f\u00edsica espec\u00edfica para provocar el cambio morfol\u00f3gico.
