Como alternativa m\u00e1s simple y rentable a los sistemas de captura de movimiento, los investigadores han utilizado como aceler\u00f3metro un tel\u00e9fono m\u00f3vil tipo smartphone fijado en la regi\u00f3n del t\u00f3rax del paciente.\u00a0<\/span><span vez la metodolog\u00eda se puso a punto con personas sanas,\u00a0en el\u00a0segundo estudio se\u00a0estudiaron\u00a024 pacientes con\u00a0lesiones medulares en la zona cervical o\u00a0tor\u00e1cica,\u00a0que deb\u00edan\u00a0mover el tronco para alcanzar\u00a0un bot\u00f3n situado a 15 cent\u00edmetros de distancia\u00a0de la silla de ruedas.\u00a0<\/span><span tambi\u00e9n han evaluado la\u00a0funci\u00f3n\u00a0del tronco en respuesta a una se\u00f1al ac\u00fastica\u00a0de sobresalto\u00a0(SAS, del ingl\u00e9s\u00a0startling\u00a0acoustic\u00a0stimulus),\u00a0que\u00a0se sabe que\u00a0acorta\u00a0el\u00a0tiempo de respuesta en la ejecuci\u00f3n de una\u00a0tarea\u00a0(efecto conocido como\u00a0StartReact).\u00a0Han\u00a0determinado\u00a0los efectos de SAS como est\u00edmulo desestabilizador y desencadenante del\u00a0StartReact\u00a0en pacientes con lesi\u00f3n medular, quienes,\u00a0por tener\u00a0la estabilidad deteriorada,\u00a0deben compensar la p\u00e9rdida de equilibrio para controlar su postura.<\/span><span cervicales\u00a0y\u00a0tor\u00e1cicas, mediante la interpretaci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales biom\u00e9dicas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Raimon Jan\u00e9, tener consecuencias importantes\u00a0en la\u00a0rehabilitaci\u00f3n, como\u00a0respuestas retardadas y desviaciones laterales que evidencian\u00a0un control postural\u00a0comprometido en los pacientes con lesi\u00f3n medular.\u00a0La disponibilidad de\u00a0datos cuantitativos contribuye\u00a0a\u00a0la comprensi\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n motora del tronco y la estabilidad postural\u00a0en\u00a0estos\u00a0pacientes.\u00a0La nueva metodolog\u00eda aporta un\u00a0enfoque objetivo para la valoraci\u00f3n del\u00a0paciente con lesi\u00f3n medular, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los
