Early Stage Researcher (Ph.D. student) to develop his\/her Ph.D. thesis project on developing a 3D model of liver disease. The contract will be within the framework of a collaborative project with a pharmaceutical company whose objective is to develop a disease model for drug screening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities \/ The successful candidate will develop research involving:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biomaterial fabrication and characterization<\/li>\n<li>Tissue engineering, bioprinting<\/li>\n<li>Advanced cell technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements for candidates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree and Master in any field on biology or biotechnology.<\/li>\n<li>Multidisciplinary qualifications (Physics\/Math&#8217;s, Physics\/Engineering, etc.) and\/or knowledge on cell cultivation (specifically on liver cells will be a plus).<\/li>\n<li>Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.<\/li>\n<li>High level of English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of available positions: 1<\/li>\n<li>Starting date: 1<sup>st<\/sup> of December 2021<\/li>\n<li>Working conditions:<\/li>\n<li><em>Full-time 3-year<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Measures to reconcile work and family life (maternity and paternity leave, flexible schedule working hours, teleworking, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).<\/li>\n<li>IBEC ensures equal access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC, or other factors.
