Nuevos avances en la mejora del diseño de fármacos contra la taupatía globular glial
José Antonio del Río, investigador principal en el Instiuto de Bioingeniería de Cataluña (IBEC) junto con el Dr. Isidre Ferrer del Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas de Bellvitge (IDIBELL) han liderado un estudio en el que han descubierto que la patología que muestran los pacientes con taupatia globular glial es debida a la generación de depósitos proteicos dañinos para las neuronas y las células gliales.

El IBEC firma un nuevo acuerdo con el ICMS de la Universidad Técnica de Eindhoven
El instituto de Bioingeniería de Cataluña (IBEC) y el Instituto de Sistemas Moleculares Complejos (ICMS), un instituto de investigación de la Universidad Tecnológica de Eindhoven (TU/e), han firmado el primer acuerdo entre los dos institutos para fomentar su colaboración. Ambos centros de investigación comparten similitudes como su multidisciplinariedad, sus misiones activas para conectar con la industria y los médicos, y su investigación pionera en nanomedicina, biología química, tecnología en chips, medicina regenerativa e ingeniería de tejidos. Esta alianza institucional permitirá compartir recursos, conocimientos y proporcionar programas de movilidad.

The nanodevices group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Research Assistant to work in the fabrication and development of bio-actuators based on skeletal muscle tissue.
