Communication Officer

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing all the communication tasks for the Project
  • Produce and update web content for the project.
  • Manage social networks for the project.
  • Write and edit texts for news, press releases, newsletters and reports.
  • Support in the organization and documentation of project events.
  • Evaluate scientific articles published by IBEC researchers and define the news for the web or a press release for the media.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or other related disciplines).
  • Master in Science Communication.
  • Two years experience in scientific writing (web content, news and press releases).
  • Full command in English.
  • Competencies: communication, team working, proactivity and attention to detail.

  • Working conditions:
  • 2 years, part-time employment contract.

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, IBEC is an interdisciplinary research center focused on Bioengineering and Nanomedicine based in Barcelona.
