Postdoctoral researcher at the Biomedical Signal Processing and Interpretation Research Group

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

 

  • Design and development of algorithms for multimodal biomedical signals.
  • Applications to respiratory sounds (COPD, Asthma and other respiratory diseases)
  • Proposal of multimodal physiological biomarkers
  • Proof-of-concept of smart health systems

 

Requirements for candidates:

 

  • Degree on any field of Engineering and PhD on Biomedical Engineering.
  • Multidisciplinary qualifications (Electronic/Engineering, Physiology) and knowledge on data analysis and biomedical signal processing.
  • Experience in more than 5 years in Postdoctoral positions.
  • Expertise in respiratory sounds analysis and respiratory diseases will be a plus.
  • Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.
  • High level of English

  • Full time contract (end date 31-12-2021, with possibility of extension).

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, IBEC is an interdisciplinary research center focused on Bioengineering and Nanomedicine based in Barcelona.
