The The Biomimetic Systems for cell engineering group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for Technical Support to Research to work on the optimization and customization of a 3D printing device to obtain 3D cell culture substrates.
The contract will be within the framework of the GUT3D-PLATE project; a Proof of Concept project granted by the European Research Council (ERC), whose objective is the fabrication of ready-to-commercialize 3D cell culture scaffolds mimicking the intestinal physiology.

Ayer tuvo lugar la reunión de lanzamiento del proyecto europeo MAD-CoV 2 en el que participa el grupo dirigido por la profesora de investigación ICREA Núria Montserrat del IBEC.
Bajo el nombre de «Enfoques modernos para el desarrollo de antivirales contra el SARS-CoV 2» (MAD-CoV 2 por sus siglas en inglés), el proyecto se centrará en desarrollar y proporcionar herramientas terapéuticas para el actual brote de COVID-19.

Los denominados LipoBots, que podrían utilizarse en aplicaciones médicas. Los LipoBots son capaces de autopropulsarse y de conservar su funcionalidad enzimática en condiciones parecidas a las del estómago humano.
