Hoy se ha celebrado el evento “Avances en Ataxia Telangiectasia” organizado por el Instituto de Bioingeniería de Cataluña (IBEC) en colaboración con la AEFAT, la asociación española familia ataxia-telangiectasia. Un encuentro entre familiares de pacientes, investigadores y clínicos para profundizar en los últimos avances en el manejo clínicos de la ataxia telangiectasia.
El proyecto se centra en el desarrollo de un chip que sirva como modelo para probar nuevos fármacos para el tratamiento del neuroblastoma, un cáncer cerebral infantil. La investigación ha recibido una financiación de 200.000€ y está liderada por Aránzazu Villasante, investigadora Senior del IBEC.
