Predoctoral position at the Signal and Information processing for Sensor Systems Research Group

Introduction to the vacant position:

The Signal and Information Processing for Sensor Systems Group is looking for a predoctoral student in signal and data processing for smart chemical instrumentation for gas and VOCs.

Main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Analytical Measurements
  • Operation and optimization of the chemical instrumentation.
  • Development of computational workflows for signal preprocessing and machine learning tailored to chemical instrumentation data.
  • Data analysis

Requirements for candidates:

  • Master in Bioinformatics / Omics Data Science
  • Bachelor’s in Biochemistry.
  • Demonstrable experience in R programming
  • Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.
  • High level of written and oral English (C1 Minimum)

We Offer:

  • Number of available positions: 1
  • Starting date: 1 September 2022
  • Working conditions:

Contract till the end of the PhD thesis (maximum 3 years).
