The Campus Diagonal Besòs of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) is a new environment for innovation and knowledge, located at the point where Barcelona and the town of Sant Adrià de Besòs meet. Barcelona Est Escola d’Enginyeria (EEBE) is currently the main centre residing there. Del proceso de selección al que se sometieron 40 entidades durante el año 2017, solo 7 han sido premiadas después de corroborar que la oferta de los centros contaba con una clara oferta pedagógica. Incluyendo las nuevas incorporaciones, este consejo lo forman 161 centres miembros con una oferta de más de 5000 actividades pedagógicas. Master Student Position for the Development of Drug Delivery Systems (Ref: MS-SS)

The nanodevices group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Master Student to participate in a project on on developing new drug delivery systems against bacterial infections.
The objective of the project is is to synthesize ‘smart’ magnetic core-double-shell mesoporous silica nanoparticles (CDS-MSNs) in combination with metal nanoparticles and targeting molecules for site-specific, time-releasing controlled and efficient delivery of antibiotics in different bacterial infection environments, such as planktonic bacteria and biofilms in vitro.Project Manager in Research
