El grupo de Smart Nano-Bio Devices del profesor de investigación ICREA Samuel Sánchez recibirá financiación durante tres años para desarrollar su proyecto MEDIROBOTS: Precision nanobotomy against tumors.
El objetivo del proyecto es desarrollar robots biocompatibles impulsados por enzimas con aplicaciones in vitro e in vivo que puedan rastrearse utilizando técnicas avanzadas de imágenes moleculares, como la microscopía de superresolución.
La cicatrización de heridas en la piel funciona reparando y restaurando el tejido a través de un proceso complejo que involucra diferentes células y moléculas que regulan la respuesta celular y la remodelación de la matriz extracelular. El artículo, que ha sido publicado en Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, comienza resumiendo los últimos avances en terapias para la curación, que combinan señales biomoleculares – como factores de crecimiento y citoquinas – con células.
