The Synthetic, Perceptive, Emotive and Cognitive Systems (SPECS) group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Project Manager in Research specialization in ICT ( Information and Communication Technologies) . We have an exciting full-time, development opportunity for a new Project Manager to join the SPECS-lab and the Projects Office in Barcelona.
The role of the project manager will be to oversee and manage the SPECS-lab research projects with the research lines assigned, liaising with IBECS’s project office and other sites and institutions across Spain and Europe.
El aprendizaje automático reduce el tiempo de procesamiento de imágenes de microscopía de meses a solo segundos
Con un nuevo método que combina microscopía de barrido de fuerzas de alta potencia y el aprendizaje automático, los investigadores del IBEC han reducido drásticamente el tiempo de procesamiento necesario para conseguir un mapa de la composición bioquímica a la nanoescala, a partir de imágenes eléctricas de células eucariotas, a tan solo unos segundos.
Un dron que mejora la gestión de los olores en las depuradoras de aguas
Investigadores del IBEC juntamente con la empresa Depuración de Aguas del Mediterráneo (DAM) desarrollan un dron que simula el sistema olfativo y consigue detectar, monitorizar e identificar los malos olores generados por las estaciones depuradoras de aguas residuales.
El IBEC y EMBL organizan un exitoso taller sobre ingeniería de sistemas vivos
El pasado 4 de junio el IBEC y el EMBL lo volvieron a hacer: unir fuerzas para organizar un exitoso evento sobre los retos y oportunidades de los “sistemas vivos de ingeniería multicelular” (M-CELS). Más de 100 personas asistieron a este evento online, que fue una sesión satélite de un evento virtual más grande realizado durante los días anteriores en Boston, el M-CELS Workshop 2021.
