With the aim to recruit a Cultural Project Officer for the implementation of the Program “Acció Ciència Viva” within the framework of the “Complementary Plans” in Catalonia, this selection process is opened.

Introduction to the position:
A Cultural Project Officer is needed to coordinate the Project “2050: The science that will change the world” within the framework of the “Acció Ciència Viva” of the Complementary Plans of R+D+I of Catalonia.
This Program is organized by the Centre de Cultura Contemporània (CCCB) in collaboration with the institutions that coordinate the four Complementary Plans in Catalonia:
- Complementary Plan for Biotechnology applied to Health – Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC),
- Complementary Plan for Quantum Communication – Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO),
- Complementary Plan for Astrophysics and High-Energy Physics – Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE)
- Complementary Plan for Advanced Materials – ALBA Synchrotron (ALBA).
The Complementary Plans are co-financed by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades and the Generalitat de Catalunya, with funds from the European Union NextGenerationEU (PRTR-C17.I1)
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Exploration and documentation on the topics that will be discussed in the different stages of the Program. Additionally, identification of key issues and innovative perspectives and approaches will be performed.
- Exploration and documentation on the possible participants in each of the scheduled activities. Support to the curator in the identification of the most suitable names for the project at local and international level.
- Elaboration of the necessary materials for the conceptualization of the Program and assistance to curatorial tasks in everything that is necessary in order to be able to define the program.
- Confirmation of scheduled activities. Preparation and sending of invitations to speakers.
- Preparation of communication material.
- Technical coordination of the Program activities of the four institutions: travel and accommodation of the participants, technical production of the scheduled events
- Closing of the documentation generated for each activity, of the administrative procedures linked to the participants and of the event budget.
Requirements for candidates
- Training in scientific communication
- Minimum 7 years of demonstrable experience in the world of scientific communication
- Demonstrable experience of working in cultural institutions
- Demonstrable work experience in the coordination of international projects in the field of culture and science
- Professional level of English
- Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking
