Bibliometrics:  the basics & few tips to make things a little bit easier

You will be exposed to the most common bibliometric indicators currently. The information they provide, and how they are used to assess your performance.

Also, we will discuss on the so called paradox of science, focusing on  the potential conflicts that arise between the applicatoin of the scientific method and the way we write papers.

We will close the session pointing out few tips on how writing papers, which are the basic unit of study in bibliometrics.
