Join Kyle while he pulls back the curtain on the editorial process and gives tips and guidance on what editors are looking for when they read your manuscript, how you can prepare your manuscript to optimize its impact in your field, and how to navigate the publication process as smoothly as possible.
Dr Kyle Legate received his PhD in biochemistry and genetic engineering in Canada before moving to Germany to do postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry and Ludwig Maximilians University. In 2013 he transitioned from research into an editorial role, first at Nature Communications where he built a strong foundation for biotechnology at the journal, before returning to his roots of foundational research at Cell Reports in 2021. In addition to leading a team of editors and guiding strategy at the journal, he handles manuscripts on many topics, with particular fondness for cell biology and biotechnology.
