The project “Laboratory of Arts Santa Monica”, in whose ‘Think Lab’ on 25-26 February IBEC was involved, will receive the award at a ceremony tomorrow night at the university’s Aula Magna on the Gran Via. The collaboration stemmed from a visit to IBEC of Josep Perelló, coordinator of the arts centre’s Science Area, to give a seminar entitled “Is art a new way of doing science?” in January of this year.
“I am especially excited to receive this award, because it gives value to innovation and research in a very different context to what we are accustomed to,” says Josep, who is also Associate Professor in the Department of Fundamental Physics at the UB.
