Accounting Officer

Introduction to the vacant position:

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for an Accounting Officer to be incorporated in its Finance Unit.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

His/her functions and responsibilities will consist of giving support to the administrative and accounting management of the Finance Unit:

  • Introduction of accounting entries: supplier invoices and other expenses
  • Issuance of invoices to customers and monitoring of debtor balances
  • Processing of accounting data through Excel to generate economic reports
  • Support in the justification of projects
  • Banking and treasury management

Requirements for candidates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Microsoft Excel Advanced Level
  • Experience in SAP Business One
  • High level of English
  • Competences and skills: Communication, planning, organization, teamwork, analytical capacity, pro activity, flexibility and adaptation to changes

Additional experience that will be also valuable:

  • Previous experience in one or more of the following:  
    • Financial Department
    • Audit Firm

    • Salary will be commensurate with previous experience.

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, IBEC is an interdisciplinary research center focused on Bioengineering and Nanomedicine based in Barcelona.
