Postdoc at the Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group

Introduction to the vacant position:

The Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Group is looking for an Postdoctoral Researcher to work on the development of enzyme-nanomotors for translational approaches within biomedicine. The contract will be within the framework of the  Boots4BB project (ref PID2021-128417OB-I00) funded by MCIN/ AEI /10.13039/501100011033/ and feder (Una manera de hacer Europa)  (, whose objective is to study the development of fully biocompatible and enzyme-powered nanoparticles and study their interactions with biomaterials and biofluids.

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

  • Development of fully biocompatible and biodegradable enzyme-functionalized nanoparticles
  • Rheological studies on the interaction of active nanoparticles with biofluids and biointerfaces
  • Use of nanoparticles as active drug delivery systems
  • Interaction and reporting with private foundations and companies

Requirements for candidates:

  • Degree and Master on any field on biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, biomedicine, nanotechnology.
  • Multidisciplinary qualifications (Physics/Engineering, Chem/Bio,etc.) and/or knowledge on nanoparticles, rheology, biointerfaces and biofluids.
  • Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.
  • High level of English
