Animal Lab technician

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

• “In vivo” experiments with mouse and rat models and routine supervision of the experimental animals, under veterinary guidelines.

• Basic biological laboratory procedures based on the specifications provided by the researchers.

• Maintenance of the lab, including regular lab and instruments cleaning, reporting machine or equipment failure.

• Managing the laboratory daily routine and keep control over the correct storing of chemical and reagents.

Requirements for candidates:

• Laboratory technician diploma or Degree or Master in Veterinary / Biology / Biotechnology or related fields.

• A (Animal care), B (Euthanasia), and C (Experimental procedure) Functions according to RD 53/2013 (accredited or in progress).

• Previous experience in rat and mice handling, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal and Intravenous injection.

• Previous experience in Central Nervous System experimental procedures are desirable.

• Multidisciplinary qualifications, experience in cell culture and basic biological assays will be a plus.

• Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork, Proactivity, Commitment, Collegiality, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.

• High level of English

Working conditions:

• Full time 3 year contract
