The Partnering Day is supported by the CDTI (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial, which belongs to the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation) and it is organized in collaboration with other relevant research centres, policy makers and business associations from Catalonia and Spain, such as ACC1Ó, CIBER-BBN, Asebio y Fenin. The event will take place at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, in Barcelona.
With the 2011 FP7 working programmes in mind, the event is designed as a meeting point for all the stakeholders currently involved in nanobio/nanomedicine and related areas -including academic researchers, clinicians, representatives from technological centres and companies- who are interested in transforming their ideas into European-scale collaborative projects. Approximately 25 proposals will be presented to the more than 120 registered participants. These proposals will be starting points for the networking sessions, which will provide an excellent opportunity for discussing future projects to be backed up by competitive consortia. NanoMed Spain, the Spanish Nanomedicine Platform, is coordinated and managed by the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC). Josep Samitier, IBEC Associate Director, is also the Platform scientific director
