Nuria Montserrat, ICREA professor and group leader at IBEC receives the “Constantes y Vitales” award for the best biomedical publication of 2020 for her work with human organoids created with bioengineering techniques for the study of SARS-CoV-2.
The “Constantes y Vitales” awards promoted by La Sexta together with the AXA Foundation, celebrated on November 19th its VI edition at the Neptuno Palace in Madrid, in an event presented by Mamen Mendizábal.
Nuria Montserrat has been awarded in the category of best biomedical publication of the year for its publication: “Inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 Infections in Engineered Human Tissues Using Clinical-Grade Soluble Human ACE2“, in which they set out to use miniature replicas of human kidneys generated in the laboratory to understand the first steps of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
